MIRUM® is a plastic-free, plant-based leather alternative, engineered on NFW’s circular materials platform for fashion, footwear, accessories, upholstery, automotive, and more. With premium haptic and a broad range of aesthetics, MIRUM is a high-performance solution for designers and brands looking to shrink their footprint and expand their creative palettes.
Completely free from plastics, MIRUM® is made from natural rubber, plant and mineral pigments, plant oils, NFW’s patented plant-based curative, and a natural fabric backer. MIRUM® is a durable material, designed to last—but not forever. Unlike polyurethane or other synthetics, MIRUM® remains inherently connected to the earth’s material and nutrient cycles: natural circularity. NFW is conducting trials to measure how MIRUM® returns to the earth in different environments.
